Methodology & Data Description
Dashboard Overview: This dashboard provides a macro-level view of global progress toward the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Global averages are computed by aggregating individual country scores across all available data points.
Scoring System: Scores are normalized composites measured on a 0-100 scale, where 100 indicates optimal achievement of the respective SDG. Higher scores reflect better performance and closer proximity to the targets.
Trend Classifications: Indicator trends track the rate of progress over recent years and are classified into four categories: On Track (green), Moderately Improving (blue), Stagnating (amber), and Declining (red).
Data Sources: Data is aggregated from official global databases including the SDG Index, UN SDGs, UN Stats, Our World in Data, SDG Transformation Center, World Bank, and OECD.
